Refueling machines

Refueling machines serve to remove and replace nuclear fuels in the reactor safely and precisely. Theyareeither operated manually or semi-automatically on the machine itself, orremotely from a control room. Handling of fuels is effected with grippers, cranes and telescopic masts. Precise engineering and fabrication is essential, as the refueling machine works in highly radioactive areas, under water (to provide shielding) and often in confined spaces.
